Football Expert Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Singer Olly Murs in Premier League Predictions

The Gunners' ten-match winning run was ended by the Black Cats before the global break, however will the Premier League frontrunners recover against local foes Tottenham this weekend?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," stated soccer specialist Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling best this season - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still manage to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, versus AI, fans and a range of guests.

For the twelfth round, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.

Murs' latest record, the new release, is available on Friday.

Soccer and Family Experiences

Olly is a talented soccer player as well as a successful singer and has been a star of several charity football games over time - but he is not intending a serious return as a player.

"{I actually played in a benefit game the other night for a friend of mine," he explained. "The team was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!

"I still love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it properly again.

"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my daughter or son chooses to play instead."

Murs and his wife his partner have a young family, their daughter and Albert, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their coach.

"I won't push football on our kids but I've already told my wife that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be coaching their weekend soccer team," he said.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously was involved with a football club for a period too.

"My father coached with us when I was a child, which is likely where I get it from. He coached our side for two or three years and had great fun with it. That could be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

The Blues might have to be patient for their star's comeback from fitness issues but their attack is already stronger with Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.

I still think this fixture will be quite close, however. The Clarets are disciplined and their sole home defeats so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.

This smells of a 1-1 draw to me, but I am in fact going to go with the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive Premier League win in a row.

Sutton's prediction: 1-2

Olly's pick: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3

AI's prediction: 0-2

The Cherries have been defeated in their past two games - although both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.

In contrast, the Hammers secured back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they do look strong again.

The Hammers' sole away win this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in August, when West Ham boss Nuno was still that team's manager.

So, what exactly do I predict here - will it be West Ham continuing their run under their manager, or Bournemouth responding?

I am going to choose Bournemouth, because I think what occurred against Aston Villa was a blip.

The pundit's prediction: 2-0

The guest's prediction: Bournemouth are doing well but West Ham have picked up under Nuno. 2-2

The algorithm's prediction: 1-1

Brentford were seen as one of the frontrunners for the drop before the campaign started, but they have surprised a several observers under their manager and are in good form with three wins in their last four games.

A family member told me to select Brentford forward Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks ago and, guess what, I didn't listen.

Thiago will probably find the net again on the weekend but I am still not going to pick him or back the away side at Brighton's ground.

They have not had much success on the road this season, and the Seagulls are always decent at their stadium. Brentford will try to hit them on the counter-attack but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's side pose much more of a danger.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

The singer's prediction: This could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a lot of scores but it actually turns out to be quite tight. 1-1

AI's outcome: 2-1

It is a huge game for Fulham, who have lost five of their past six games.

Fulham have have lots of talent in their team but it nonetheless seems like they could be sucked into a relegation fight.

As for Sunderland, well they are the unexpected success of the top flight season so far.

The away side's display in the two-all draw with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We have not seen any other team disrupt the Gunners like that this season, and they were more than a match for them.

The sensible thing would be to support the visitors here, because they are obviously able of disrupting Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they beat the Blues at the close of October.

However I am not choose that. Rather, I really need to carry on going against the away team with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their good results because they clearly love to defy my predictions.

Looking at the home side's home form, the only team they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be extremely eager for a good outcome, so I am going to predict they will pick up three points.

Sutton's forecast: 1-0

The guest's choice: I know the visitors are performing strongly and additionally that the hosts are on a bad run... but Fulham have still been respectable at home this campaign. 2-0

The algorithm's outlook: 2-0

It is a hard fixture to call. Liverpool have suffered seven of their past 10 games in every tournament, but could they be one of the sides who profit from the {international break|
